Every good developer tool has a blog. As of today, so does Shorlabs.
Shorlabs builds, deploys, and runs your apps, databases, and domains inside your own AWS account — no YAML, no console spelunking, no DevOps hire. That means we spend our days elbow-deep in ECS, CloudFront, IAM, and the thousand sharp edges between them. A lot of what we learn doesn't fit in a changelog, and it would be a waste to keep it to ourselves.
What to expect here
- Engineering notes — the real problems we hit running infrastructure across customer AWS accounts, and how we solved them.
- Product updates — new capabilities, in more depth than a tweet allows.
- AWS deep dives — the behaviors, limits, and undocumented quirks we've paid the tuition for, so you don't have to.
And because no hello-world post is complete without one:
export function helloWorld() {
console.log("Hello, world — from the Shorlabs blog");
}If you'd like to follow along, there's an RSS feed. More soon.
